The trees we in Hawaii call rainbow eucalyptus are originally from the tropical islands north of Australia where they are referred to as bagras eucalyptus. What ever the name, these trees are a delight to find. This nice little grove is one of the often missed treats right on the road to Hana. The colorful peeling bark has a bit of a glow to it - especially when lit by early morning rays of the sun as seen on the closest tree in this image. |
